Big Easy Meets Big Apple
Arnaud’s Serves Special Dinner to Benefit the James Beard Foundation in NYC
For the first time in its history, the nearly century old Arnaud’s Restaurant headed to New York City by invitation to showcase its famous Creole cuisine at the celebrated Beard House, September 20.
The Arnaud’s and French 75 team took to the Big Apple with big smiles and even greater gratitude. From arrival to dinner to departure, we felt like grand champions—cooking our best dishes and mixing our strongest drinks for all of New York to taste.
A Taste of New Orleans
While in the Big Apple, Master Mixologist Chris Hannah and Chef Tommy DiGiovanni were featured on WABC-TV’s popular Eyewitness News Saturday Morning, showcasing Arnaud’s signature dish and cocktail. Together, they presented the true nature of great New Orleans cuisine—impeccable flavor.
Take a look at how New Orleans flavor met New York style.
A Taste of Greatness
It was an honor and a privilege for the Arnaud’s team to rub elbows with the best in our industry and around the country. These top chefs, their teams, and the restaurants they represent prepared meals that not only had wonderful flavors but also truly let their talents shine.
A Victorious Homecoming
When we finally returned, we couldn’t think of a better way celebrate than with food. To give New Orleans a taste of what we made, the chefs at Arnaud’s prepared a special menu for our patrons. This menu featured all of the dishes we made for the James Beard Foundation.
Guests were invited to taste Soufflé potatoes with Sauce Béarnaise, Oyster Bienville, Remoulade, Turtle Soup, Pan-Seared Red Snapper, Petite Filet Mignon, and Bananas Foster Frozen Soufflé.
A Note to Our Patrons
Thank you for being our constant inspiration to create and serve. It is because of you that we are able to push the limits on fine dining in New Orleans and strive to make every meal a cause to celebrate.
